Heri Joensen of TÝR will appear on today's Metal Meltdown on WRUW-FM 91.1 Cleveland (live @ wruw.org) from 5-7pm Eastern. I sat down backstage at the House of Blues on Sunday night when Heri and the band were opening up for Death Angel and Children of Bodom.
In addition, you'll hear from Sacred Blood, a Greek metal band whose lyrics are based completely in Greek history and literature. Their 2012 release, Alexandros, focuses entirely on the life of Alexander the Great, and their 2014 effort, Argonautica, will be about Jason and the Argonauts. I caught up via Skype with Polydeykis, the guitarist, and Marios, the band's lyricist.
